(George Galloway)

(Bill Jones)

(Martin Sieff)

Recently, there was a protest outbursted in the name of Extinction Rebellion in London, UK. Meanwhile, violent protests and demonstrations in Hong Kong are continuing. While the protesters in the UK were only seeking the changes in environmental protection policies, the mobs in Hong Kong intended to overturn the government with violence. British police have taken strong measures and arrested over 1,000 people in a day, while Hong Kong police remain restrained even if they are being assaulted. With Hong Kong bemisted by violence, some western politicians keep talking big and refusing to see the truth. British and American experts argue that these politicians adopted double standards. Treating violence with double standards will not only harm others but themselves in the end.

George Galloway

Former member of British Parliament

Whilst the entire world has striven might and main to turn the Hong Kong protests into a ramp against China. And the reasons are obvious. They want to weaken China.

Bill Jones

Washington Bureau Chief of the Executive Intelligence Review

When the police in France cracked down on the “yellow vests”, did president vice president Pence or the Foreign Ministry and Great Britain say: “Hey, don't crack down on them. This is not allowed.” But with regard to China, of course, there are people who are in the West, in the Britain of course, and also in the US, even within the Trump administration who don't like the idea of China playing now a major international role, and they want to cause as much trouble by going at the what they consider the weak flanks of China. Hong Kong, former British colony is one of these.

Martin Sieff

Fellow at Global Policy Institute

But this is classic, American high-tech liberal hypocrisy. We are in favor of freedom of speech when we can criticize country who disapprove of, but when any such countries defend themselves or criticize the United States or criticize US or allied policies, then we shut them up. Then they are not allowed to express themselves anymore.
