The Chinese government the mainland government or central government， I should call it， has the power and the duty to maintain the continuity of civil and social order in Hong Kong. So I think it's very legitimate and justified. And I think nobody would expect any less of any government but to do that to ensure the security of its own people.

Well， the sanctions that I have been reading in all the sources on international media seem to be quite ineffective in really disturbing the normal business trade and other processes of Hong Kong. So in fact I am also made aware by all the information I'm getting that the US business interest in Hong Kong is so huge that they are being very careful. Also in really imposing any sanctions that would hurt their own interests in Hong Kong

We also have our share of interference from the United States. We also have our anti-terrorism law that has just been passed in order to deal adequately with some terrorist elements in our country.

Yet they're trying to prevent us from having a more effective and tighter anti-terror law and that's what we also see they're trying to do in Hong Kong.
